Why isn’t my Pool Cover Pump pumping water?

  • The pump could be air locked.

  • The garden hose or pump could be clogged.  

  • The motor or the impeller could be going bad.  

  • There could be no power/voltage to the pump.

My motor is buzzing. What does that mean? 

  • There is an internal problem with the motor, and the pump needs to be replaced. 

Can I get a replacement cord?

  • No, this is not a replacement part.   

  • It is not recommended to replace the cord due to safety reasons.  

Why doesn’t my pump turn on?

  • The switch could be clogged. Try turning the unit upside down and see if the pump turns on. 

  • Remove the blue lid and clean any buildup. 

The pump is ok when there is water to pump, but once the water is gone, it begins to trip.

  • There could be an issue with the switch. The switch is not replaceable.
